  Onga Pumps price Increase Pentair Water announcement.

Onga have indicated that prices on their entire pump range will increase in the “near future” by as much as 10%.

This is purely as an impact of the rising cost of petroleum product both in the area of freight costs and plastics raw material.

To quote Steve Brooks, Pentair’s Managing Director;
<quote>
We’ve (Onga) been trying to hold back increasing our prices, but unfortunately we cannot continue to absorb the heavy increases that we’ve had to bear in the last few months. This letter is to advise you that we will increase our prices by up to 10% and the formal announcement is only a few weeks away. The increase in prices is due to the direct increase in cost of materials, manufacturing and freight.
</quote>

Once again this will have an impact on our advertised specials.

  Cable Cutting Fee Olex and Pirelli cables the two largest cable manufacturers in Australia are introducing a cutting charge effective October 1st 2005.

A charge of $25.00 + GST will apply to all lengths of cable that have to be cut to specific lengths. IE: Not supplied in standard 100 mtr or 500 mtr lengths.

We have no alternative but to pass this cost on to customers and as such you are reminded to include the cutting charge in all cable quotes for bore pumps or pivots where specific cable lengths are required.

There is a stock code on the system:  CUTTING

  Sports Update Anthony Baker has continued his good recent sports form.

Playing in the Kingston Indoor Cricket Competition the Rockets defeated the Fubars in a close game 97 – 86.

After a slow start Anthony shared in a partnership of 35 and then chipped in with a couple of wickets.

The Rockets with Anthony aboard have now made it into the final after being one run behind with three balls left.

The final will be played presumably at the Kingston Indoor Cricket Centre on Monday week.

Another medal to come?

Meanwhile playing in the English Football League Championships my team, Wolves drew 1-1 away at Luton Town on Saturday. Still in 6th place we play bottom placed Millwall at home tonight at Molineux. Hopefully we’ll have 3 more points by tomorrow.

Kermandie Kick On:

After seasons of disappointment Kermandie finally made it through to the SFL Regional Grand Final next week.
In what was described as a bone jarringly ugly preliminary final Kermandie got up over the Huonville Lions at Cygnet on Saturday.

The Kermandie midfield of Todd Pepper, Jamie Kaye and Anthony Baker sparked the Robins running game all afternoon and combined well with ruckman Andrew Nash to book their Grand Final place, winning 14.13 (97) to 12.6 (78)

Well done to Anthony and his team mates and good luck next week
